EXPLOITATION OF NATURAL RESSOURCES

...The Diamonds meant for your beauty have turned into blood diamonds and the good oil from your veins has turned out to be oil of doom.

Whole countries were enticed with all manner of gifts by the expatriate oil prospectors through the gullible leaders, African people, who aided the rape of their virgin lands leaving behind vast fields of oil barrenness. These leaders have now only the stairs of greed to show us the milestones of their betrayal.

FLIGHT OF THE BUTTERFLY

I always carry the pictures of my homeland like I would carry a backpack. A metamorphic story of a life in Africa and my flight in Europe. Journey with me to the world of my paintings and see the beauty and the riches of my home. The story of a continent, which is so rich and yet at times so poor.

GIVING BACK THE VOICE

Women and girls sit within the heart of every stable home, nation and culture and are indispensable in every skill. However history has it, that rural women have had crafts, that helped in building countries as well as transforming the world's economy and technology. Those, in rural areas, have been known for their effort in keeping up with farming and homes. They have in the past participated strongly in decisions conserning homes, countries and nations at large. They are multitasking and well talented. Equip them with knowledge and improve their education for knowledge is power. Train one woman – you have trained a whole nation.

She is a wife, a mother, a sister, a teacher, warrior, she's strong, intelligent, beautiful, compassionate, resiliant, tireless.

LOVE STORY

Real love begins when nothing is expected in return. And as long as you nurture it, it grows stronger and gets even more beautiful with each day.

THE BRAVE

There is no force equal to the strength of a determined woman.

I am unstoppable.

I am strong.

I act inspite if my fears.

I am bigger than my concern and worries.

I am encouraged by the strength of others.

I am Fierce and Sensational.

I am Daring and Courageous.

I am Soulful and Compassionate.

I am Unstoppable and Fearless.

I am a woman of African Descent.

I am Africa.

THE HAMMER OF FREEDOM

"Freedom is hammered out of the anvil of communication."

For a blacksmith to forge a perfect metal ware he needs a firepot a blow tube, a cooling bucket, an anvil, a blower and a backbarrel for creating charcoal. What do you chose to be for us all to form a perfect picture of life?

THE MISERY OF MIGRANTS

As the Shylock-owner of the rickety boats convey the cream of their youth through the literal borders of European neighbors, the overloaded boats willfully or not would capsize littering their black bodies on the waters of the routes, traveled by the ancient slave ships. Yet this barely fathoms the misery of the migrants at sea.

Oh, mama Africa!

Your soil that was once warm and soothing has turned into a volcanic landscape,

Your land, your air, your sea, even your mountains are all screaming:

"Run if you can!"

Your children are leaving you and dying on their journey to the so-called paradise in a quest for a better tomorrow.

And the few survivors are treated like Ebola, spitted, scorned, burnt and even isolated.

Your children are roaming the streets of their so-called promised land in search for an identity.

BROKEN VESSELS

"Art is the most effective form of communication," Jennifer Echols.

I let my brush and color spread peace, unity and love, that are lacking in the world today. Broken vessels stands for abuse of any kind but specifically it talks about the pain of the girls, as well as of the families, whose daughters have been abducted by Boko Haram and are still in their hands today. But even if they should be released today, those girls will ever remain broken and are probably never going to be the same again."Art is the most effective form of communication," Jennifer Echols.

AGAINST ALL ODDS

The Black Woman for me is a piece of Art

- a perfect expression of pain, struggle, strength and beauty.

BACK TO THE ROOTS

We are lost without our cultural heritage. It is our history and our identity. Without a link to the past people in a society lose their sense of place, purpose and path. One must know where one comes from to know where one is going.

NATIONAL DEPRIVATION

National Deprivation Is a growing dissatisfaction with a narrowly income-based definition of poverty. Poor people suffer from multiple deprivation involving a failure to meet their non-material needs as well as their material needs.

There is a strong need to free our minds, to evolve new ways of governance based on the values of mutual love. A new bond of people who have undergone a similar and common experience. There is a need to evolve now economic values whose beneficial effects would trickle down the social ladder to thank downtrodden.

THE COCOON

Cut my rope,

Cut my chains and shackles,

Help me venture forth into life to find the girl I once abandoned.

Help me crawl back silently into my companionless Cocoon.

Maybe,

and just maybe,

I can transform into a beautiful butterfly putting more beauty into the world with my GOLD-DUST.

THE INVISIBLE PRESENT CHAIN

(SELF IMPOSED MODERN SLAVERY)

There must be an individual effort to free oneself from the worst form of slavery – the mental one. Long after the exit of the colonial "masters" there has persistently existed another form of slavery: that of the mind, where a slave enslaves his fellow slave.

VISION OF MY MIND

In a world, where our vision is clouded I love to escape my reality through the windows of my mind. I like to clean those windows so I can get a clearer look into my past and draw inspiration for my work.
